A return to Cuba. Each time I’ve gone, I’ve found myself looking at the place differently, perhaps because each time I was different, but also because Cuba was and is changing, slowly but inevitably, as americans begin to pour in to the country. The Canadians and the Europeans no doubt are worried – they’ve had it to themselves for some time, and prices were reasonable and the place was ‘quiet’. But it will take some time for major changes to occur, the infrastructure still isn’t there and it will be a while in coming. So I’m returning in 2018 with a group, to continue my ‘romance’ with the Cuban scene and it’s people that make it so special.
