When I was in high school, I studied Spanish – the ‘proper’ castillaño language – but I really only used my spanish-speaking skills in Mexico or Central American, ironically, and I grew used to the less formal manner in which Spanish was spoken. I’m drawn to the color of these places, the vibrant painted homes, the brightly woven tapestries and traditional clothing still worn by the Indians, the ancient ruins, the beautiful spanish colonial architecture, and more, so here’s a collection that celebrates the best of all things from Mexico and Guatemala.

Brenda Tharp’s collection of color and black and white photographs of Latin America includes landscapes, nature details, people, portraits, travel scenes, architecture, religion, traditions of Mexico and Guatemala.
